DescriptionSEC Manager
Manage the internal and external financial reporting functions of the Company. Prepare financial statements and related footnotes for filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission and draft Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K. Analyze various income, expense and balance sheet accounts on an ad hoc or assigned basis.
Primary Duties: - Prepare consolidated and consolidating financial statements, including calculating and documenting eliminating journal entries, preparation of cash flows statements and drafting related footnote disclosures. - Draft Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K. - Complete monthly bank reporting and quarterly covenant calculations for both the company and its unconsolidated joint venture. - Complete and distribute monthly financial summary report for senior management and the Board of Directors. - Calculate various key indicators, including same-site results and earnings per share. - Research and document various accounting and reporting matters, including new accounting pronouncements. - Prepare and distribute financial statements for unconsolidated joint venture and stand-alone statements for certain consolidated subsidiaries. - Calculate and assess effectiveness of interest rate swap hedge. - Prepare and update monthly forecast (income statement, balance sheet and cash flow) - Maintain internal and external financial report definitions in SAP and Business Warehouse. - Accounting for various complex accruals, including workers compensation. - Convert foreign-currency denominated financials to US dollar for consolidation purposes. - Prepare various government reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. - Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for non-operating subsidiaries of the Company. - Assist with year-end audit as needed. - Provide support for various special projects, as needed. - Participate in ongoing self-improvement through reading, training, seminars and workshops.
EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in Accounting required. CPA and/or MBA preferred.
EXPERIENCE Must have ... both ... Industry and Regional/Big 4 public accounting experience with SEC company and SEC clients. Would consider a Professional from an SEC company with no public accounting. Must have experience performing consolidations and drafting SEC filings and financial statements. Experience with SAP strongly preferred. Good communication skills required.
