Description Responsibilities


Administer and upgrade source control, code review, build, and deployment systems
Assist with delivering enterprise-wide automated deployment system for proprietary applications
Assist with adoption of Git for source control
Monitor current events in software tools industry
Explore and evaluate new processes, techniques and tools for streamlining development/testing/deployment
Contribute and maintain accurate and high-quality documentation of the services Development Engineering Services provides
Write and manage cross-platform build tools of various types: scripts, plugins, executables
Participate in Development Engineering Services teams on-call support schedule

Experience and Skills:



Strong Linux/Windows knowledge
Strong understanding of software configuration issues
4+ years experience automating builds and deployment
Extensive experience with a variety of SCC tools such as Subversion, Git, Clearcase, Perforce, Mercurial
Experience with unit testing and automated testing tools
Strong scripting language experience (Ruby/JRuby, Perl, Python, etc.)
Some Programming experience in C#-.Net and/or Java a definite plus
Expertise with multiple software build tools, e.g. GNU Make, Ant, NAnt, MSBuild, Rake
Experience with running and automating static and dynamic code analysis tools is a plus, e.g. NCover, NDepend, JDepend, PMD
Familiarity with Team City, Cruise Control and/or other automated continuous build frameworks
Experience with package managers such as RPM, PPM, Visual Studio deployment projects
Rails and/or ASP.Net development experience desirable
Knowledge of Ubuntu and MacOS a plus
Understanding of unattended deployments and upgrade scenarios desirable
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent documentation and knowledge management skills
