Position Summary
The International Tax Director will provide guidance and expertise on all international tax issues and report to the Global Tax Director.
Position Functions
Conduct tax planning and research to enhance companys financial position.
Implementation of tax policies and strategies.
Coordinate U.S. tax laws with foreign tax laws to obtain optimal strategy.
Will provide guidance and advice to senior executives for financial and tax issues pertaining to the establishment or liquidation of subsidiaries and new initiatives.
Oversee international tax compliance for all subsidiaries and operations in Canada, Europe and Asia.
Provide technical expertise on U.S. and foreign income tax audits.
Manage relationships with vendors, outside consultants and regulatory authorities.
Background Profile
Bachelors degree in
accounting
/finance,
CPA
is preferred
Advanced degree preferred; MST or JD with LLM in Taxation
10+ years tax experience a big 4 or corporate environment.
5+ years international tax experience.
Financial industry knowledge, fund tax knowledge or product knowledge required.
