If you are a Ambulatory Surgery Coder with 2+ experience, please read on!

What you need for this position:

- College level coursework or equivalent in anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology; CCS, RHIA or RHIT preferred.
- One to two years of demonstrated coding experience in complex diagnostics within a procedural ambulatory or outpatient surgery environment are required, preferably in an academic medical center.
- Coursework in ICD9CM, CPT4, HCPCS and disease process is required
- Pass skills assessment from NYPH.
- Knowledge of clinical information systems for accessing health information is preferred.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills will be critical to your success.

What you'll be doing:

- Perform complex diagnostic and procedural coding for ambulatory outpatient surgeries
- Review, abstract, and apply appropriate diagnostic coding
