Financial Skills
Manage and improve the companys finance and accounting systems.
Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans for overall direction of financial and accounting operations.
Expertise in accounting, finance, reports, processes and systems for projects, bonding, budgeting, cost controls, project job costing, forecasting, operating expenses, return on investments, cash flow and capital expenditures.
Manage and develop solid relationships with banks, sureties and vendors.
Proficiency with all aspects of accounting and finance for construction projects including public works and power plants.
Expertise with financial data and reports including balance sheet and income statement.
Design accurate, open and understandable measurement metrics to improve performance.
Manage all accounting functions including customer and vendor relations, investments, cash accounts and financing agreements.
Manage the finance/accounting software, hardware and security.
Manage the IT infrastructure and improve processes.
Proficiency at identifying general and administrative expense reduction opportunities as well as effective planning to increase bottom-line earnings.
Identify cost saving opportunities.
Appraise companys financial position and issue periodic reports on financial stability, liquidity and growth.
Analyze, consolidate and direct cost accounting procedures.
Analyze general economic, business and financial conditions and their impact on the company.
Proper tax and financial reporting to regulatory authorities; tax planning strategies.
Create value and maximize profits.
Manage and assure compliance with union benefits and trust funds.
Maintain a long-term financial model that incorporates strategic growth initiatives, enterprise valuation, capital structure and cost-structure trends.

Manage, train, motivate, evaluate and discipline finance and accounting personnel.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting; relevant experience will be considered.
Minimum 5 years of relevant finance and accounting management experience.
Must have extensive knowledge of construction, public works, power plants and substations. CPA preferred
