Agriculture Underwriter Job in Birmingham Alabama (AL)

Job Description:

One of our well-established clients is seeking an experienced underwriter. This position is r esponsible for underwriting large size Business Banking Agriculture loan transactions (ie OOCRE transactions $1.5MM+, NOOCRE transactions $1.0MM+ and LOC's $500M+).

The Underwriter will ensure compliance with company policy, credit policy and regulatory guidleines. Individual is also responsible for maintaining favorable field relations with Business Bankers, Business Banking Sales Managers,Business Banking Executives and Regional Presidents, and may perform some supervisory responsibilities including counseling/training for Business Bankers.

Requirements:

Minimum two to three years of commercial underwriting experience and/or credit review experience;

Ag lending experience required;

Sound credit decisioning skills and loan structuring knowledge; Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Strong organization and negotiation skills;

PC proficiency with experience in Microsoft Excel and Moody's Financial Analyst preferred. Successful completion of Moody's online credit training and final exam preferred.
