Our firm is working exclusively with a Dallas-based, privately held commercial real estate development and investment management company. They are searching for an entrepreneurial minded Treasury Manager that wants to add value to their exceptional team. 

The Treasury Manager will be responsible for leading the Accounts Payable (AP) team and the day-to-day treasury operations.  The position reports directly to the Corporate Controller and works closely with asset and property managers, and internal accountants. It's imperative that decisions are made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practiced to achieve general results and deadlines. This role is also responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines.

Some of the responsibilities include

Accounts Payable:
  • Supervise & Train AP staff
  • Assure timely, accurate processing of Corporate, Property and owner payables with proper approval
  • Format and upload excel information into MRI accounts payable module
  • Maintain vendor file and new vendor setup
  • Prepare annual 1099s
  • Assist with annual audits by providing requested information
  • Process periodic distributions to investors via preferred method (check, ACH, wire)
  • Reconcile distribution activity to bank activity to account for all transactions
  • Setup and maintain bank accounts
  • Setup and maintain online access to bank accounts, in compliance with CEO-approved access and approval limits
  • Implement Positive Pay, establish process and train staff
  • Ongoing fraud protection training and process improvement for Treasury/AP group and bank approvers
  • Assist with preparation of daily cash report
  • Monitor bank and credit card balances daily
In order to be successful in this role one will need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant business experience
  • Real Estate experience preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, online banking systems, MRI, Avid Exchange, Concur
  • Experience processing electronic 1099’s preferred
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, time manage, balance competing deadlines, and be a self-starter that is eager to learn with a team player mentality
