Non-Profit located in the South Bay seeks a full-time Chief Financial Officer to join the team.
The mission of this non-profit is critical and purposeful. 
 
The Chief Financial Officer works collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to provide management of financial and business support services for the non-profit and its related operations. Responsibilities include budget and financial forecasting, accounting supervision, operational and support services, monthly invoicing of Medi-Cal based contracts including productivity forecasting, Medi-Cal cost reports and reconciliations, and contracting and financial compliance. The CFO is responsible for overall management and implementation of the corporate financial operations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and organization/contract policies and procedures. The CFO’s role is integral to the achievement of the agency’s goals, and typical responsibilities and duties often involve job-related matters of unusual to extreme complexity. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Qualifications:
  • The Chief Financial Officer position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business or finance. An MBA or CPA preferred is preferred. Additionally qualifications include:
  • A minimum of 12 years’ experience at the Controller, Finance Director or CFO or equivalent level in a medium or large nonprofit organization with multiple contracts, and governmental funding;
  • Knowledge of Medi-Cal funding streams and requirements;
  • Principles of general accounting and budgeting for organizations with multiple cost centers and funding sources;
  • Demonstrated experience with the use of computerized information and financial systems in financial analyze and reporting;
  • Knowledge of integrated planning and development of fiscal resources;
  • Ability to analyze data and information from diverse sources to create comprehensive financial plans and to provide appropriate interpretation of Federal, State and Local laws and regulations;
  • Demonstrates collaborative management style skills working successfully with a team of employees to establish goals and meet deadlines;
  • Strong oral and written communications skills and effective interpersonal skills;
  • Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets and graphs, Word and MAS 90;
  • Ability to analyze data and information from diverse sources to create comprehensive financial plans and to provide appropriate interpretation of Federal, State and Local laws and regulations;
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse staff;
  • Fingerprinting and background check as required by the Department of Justice, as well as TB Clearance are required before the candidate can begin in this role.
