Title: Sr. Associate – Corporate Development
Provides support in the development of creative and highly tailored deal structures and processes that result in optimal solutions for unique project objectives. Prepares presentations regarding acquisition related matters and conducts market research and analysis on M&A target companies.
ESSENTIAL/ NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Supports the development of acquisition opportunities by researching and summarizing company, market and valuation information.
Engages closely with the M&A team and the executive leadership, fully understands company strategies and then partnering with them to identify, evaluate and develop acquisition, investment and partnership opportunities that will help them achieve our objectives
Prepares presentations regarding acquisition related matters for the executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
Supports the overall project management of M&A transactions.
Participate in all aspects of due diligence and to validate assumptions and determine reasonableness of key financial drivers.
Works with Operating Units to integrate new acquisitions.
Prepares accurate financial packages for VP, M&A to enable them to make effective investment decisions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 3 – 5 years of business experience in mergers and acquisitions or operations.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Proficient user of MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Capital IQ
Proven self-starter with a strong sense of urgency.
Ability to deal with ambiguity in a quickly changing decision making environment.
Ability to form trusted relationships with business decision makers that enable effective communication and alignment around critical business decisions related to company projects.
Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures, and regulatory requirements.
In depth valuation and operational financial modeling experience a requirement.
Demonstrated experience with managing of day to day aspects of client relationships and projects
Strong communication skills with external and internal audiences, written and verbal.
Strong financial and analytical skills.
Ability and willingness to work long hours and on weekends if needed.
