Our client, a leading F100 biotech company with an impressive track record of success, is seeking a Senior Manager, Corp Finance - Corporate Development Support & Capital Project Governance to join their team. Essential Duties and Job Functions:
Finance partner supporting business development and strategic planning functions
Partner extensively with corporate development, legal and other finance functions to provide deal support for licensing, R&D collaborations, out licensing and other supply agreements
Drive cross functional alignment within controllership, tax, treasury and operations finance functions for business development finance support
Manage company's capital investment governance process by managing ECC (Executive Capital Committee) meetings on monthly basis
Take an active part in a number of corporate level cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
The successful candidate will possess 8+ years of experience in Finance, having held positions of increasing scope and responsibility. A BS or BA is required and an MBA is strongly preferred. Prior experience in M&A for bio-tech or Pharma is desirable. Strong analytical skills and significant knowledge and understanding of US GAAP is preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills are required. Working knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion is preferred.
Specific Responsibilities and skills for Position:
This Senior Manager in Corporate Finance team will be the finance partner in driving BD deal support for licensing, R&D collaborations, out licensing, supply agreements etc. He / She will support contract reviews (for finance), deal modeling and evaluations, influence financial terms, prepare deal memo, checklists and ensure alignment on all key assumptions with other finance sub functions. In addition, this person will drive the Executive Capital Committee meetings and associated processes on monthly basis (review submitted projects seeking approval, prepare package for ECC etc.) as well as prepare the corporate wide capital spend forecast (budget / LE) executive reviews.
Success in this role will require the ability to work within cross-functional teams, partner with corporate development, legal and commercial teams, provide leadership and guidance to the FP&A organization, develop and communicate insightful analytics, and manage projects to drive continuous improvements on a global basis. Possessing strong communication and presentation skills is essential.
