The Position: Senior Accounting Associate

Job Summary:

As a Senior Accounting Associate, you will:
  • have dynamic responsibilities associated with our Client’s month-end closing, financial reporting processes and analysis, helping to ensure a timely and accurate month-end close and financial reporting for our growth oriented organization.
  • assist in the compilation of reports and analysis to support management review of financial results.
  • also work with an outstanding team to identify issues and collaborate on recommended solutions.
  • have the opportunity to be involved in progressive project work with exposure to senior management and various departments.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations, including documentation and presentation of results to management and senior leadership.
  • Ensure accounting practices and documentation procedures are performed in accordance with accounting and governance policies and procedures.
  • Perform monthly analysis and reporting of financial performance, including preparation of monthly commentary for stakeholders and management within necessary deadlines.
  • Respond to requests from other departments and perform research.
  • Participate in key corporate projects such as system upgrades, enhancements, or process improvements.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis to management.
  • Support in developing controlled and risk-management environment
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • MUST BE A US CITIZEN OR POSSESS A GREEN CARD
  • At least 2 years of accounting, or at least 2 years of finance, or at least 2 years of audit experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in banking or at least 1 year of financial industry experience
 Preferred Qualifications: 
  • 3+ years of accounting, or finance, or audit experience
  • 2+ years of experience in banking or financial industry
  •  CPA certification
  • Willingness to Travel - Occasionally
