About the team:
Mid-Atlantic Dental Partners is looking for a passionate, highly professional Payroll Specialist to join our small but growing team based in our corporate headquarter in Plymouth Meeting PA. The Payroll Specialist will be accountable for managing payroll fundamentals and practices, handling employee payments, and developing productive, trusting working relationships with designated business leaders. As part of a growing team and company, the Payroll Specialist will also be involved in creating and implementing new systems, methodologies and best practices for Mid-Atlantic Dental Partners.


Role and Responsibilities:


• Process bi-weekly employee payroll payments on time through Paylocity
• Calculate and deduct appropriate amounts from payroll checks, including benefit contributions, tax withholdings, and other garnishments 
• Calculate and track variable compensation by running applicable reports from the various practice management software
• Maintain and summarize employment contracts for compliance to pay rates, bonus plans, and benefits eligibility
• Complete all HR reporting as needed, including employee census files for benefits reporting
• Review and approve employee benefits invoices for payment
• Maintain PTO hour accruals for all employees including salaried
• Submit 401K bi-weekly uploads and ensure timely funding
• Oversee workers compensation insurance and accounting audits on an annual basis 
• Prepare general ledger entries for all payroll transactions 
• Provide management reports as needed
• Work on projects as requested 


• 5+ years of experience working in Payroll
• Degree, preferred
• Worked in fast paced high growth environments
• Experience ensuring compliance with regulatory activities including the Department of Labor, worker’scompensation, unemployment etc.
• Track record with creating solid relationships with internal business partner
• Interest in examining data and payroll metrics to improve the organization

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Paylocity
• Certification in payroll processing
• Knowledgeable in PA, DE, MD & NJ employment law
• Completed other training and certifications related to payroll 

Reporting & Start Date

• This role will report to the Accounting Manager
• Start date for this job will be immediate
