Position 

We are looking for an ambitious Senior Accountant who is customer centric, enjoys challenges, possesses a proactive, entrepreneurial approach to getting things done and is able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the Company’s finances and willing to grow the position as we expand the department and the Company. 

Responsibilities may include:
  • Assume primary, day-to-day responsibility for maintaining the Company’s general ledger
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements, including internal and external reporting
  • Serve as subsidiaries’ primary accounting liaison
  • Assist subsidiaries onsite with accounting and/or operational issues
  • Prepare reports for senior management and the Company’s Board of Directors
  • Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for accruals and various adjustments.
  • Support all business units in running month end statistical reports
  • Assume primary responsibility for the monthly close process
  • Support the Corporate Controller with the annual audit process and all procedures related to subsidiaries’ purchase accounting
  • Assist with budgeting process (primarily administrative tracking and updating Excel templates as needed)
  • Assist in annual audit preparation (helping compile PBCs for review)
  • Respond effectively to inquiries from external and internal sources
  • Perform other duties, special projects and tasks as needed
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and minimum of four (4) years accounting experience in corporate office environment or public accounting firm
  • Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of GAAP
  • Familiarity with purchase accounting GAAP
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, lookups)
  • Intermittent travel required
  • Microsoft Word and PowerPoint experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and on a team
  • Ability to dig in and take ownership of responsibilities
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and meet critical deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and maintain open communication with coworkers
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Some flexible regarding peak-time work requirements
  • A commitment to excellence and the ability to communicate to individuals at all levels and roles.
