This position has responsibility for best in class Inventory Management from grape to bottle for all of our wineries. A significant portion of the role will focus on finished goods and packaging raw material inventory management (accuracy, planning, and turns). The role will quickly expand to other aspects of the business (eg: bulk wine, winemaking & viticulture supplies, merchandise). Support the nearly one dozen manufacturing facilities (some being co-packers), offsite storage facilities, tasting rooms, etc. This position will interact with various departments and all levels of management to optimize inventory systems and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide best in class inventory management (accounting and analysis) to support optimum business performance (eg: accurate and real-time tracking of quantity on hand across all business units, improve inventory turns, reduce storage & carrying costs, reduce exposure/obsolescence).
Lead by identifying areas of improvement to reduce inventory levels while maintaining an ability to respond to demand shifts.Drive the success of these opportunities.
Analyze, plan, and coordinate both systems and activities.
Leader of process, process documentation, and change management.
Define and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) to facilitate consistent execution of processes to guarantee inventory accuracy, and conduct random audits to ensure SOPs are being followed.
Work closely with accounting to manage the execution of physical inventory / cycle count processes.
Develop action plans that increase inventory accuracy and reduce discrepancies.
Manage & process inventory transactions.
Implement re-order point management across multiple branches, departments, and categories.
Implement and manage metrics (eg: inventory turns, re-order points vs. actual, excess inventory)
Prepare data for and/or lead production, inventory, and scheduling meetings.
Participate in cross functional projects impacting inventory.
Assist with efforts associated with ERP system upgrades/implementations (eg: JDE Blend), system integrations (eg: Napa Valley POS and ), and product data management.
Improve processes & train coworkers across multiple facilities.
Increase the utilization of existing system.
Assist Finance with inventory reconciliation requirements.
Builds strong relationships with other functional areas including but not limited to: finance, production, tasting rooms, winemaking.

Special projects as assigned.
Change management supporter & driver.
Education, Certificates, Experience (preferred):
BA or BS degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business
3+ years of experience in inventory management, coordinating tasks across multiple functions
Six Sigma, Lean
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Advanced Inventory and Supply Chain Management skills.
Experience working with ERP Systems (JDE preferred)
Strong analytical, mathematical, and data analysis capability.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite tools (visio, excel, word, powerpoint)
ADVANCED EXCEL USER PLEASE!
Excellent communication skills, organizational ability and proven problem-solving ability.
<10% Travel estimated.
