Job Summary
We are seeking a Recruitment and Human Resources Director to join our rapidly growing Evanston, IL offices. Leading a team of three, the individual will play a critical role in helping the organization achieve its human resources strategy of creating HR operational excellence and attracting, engaging and retaining top talent.
Talent Management Responsibilities
  • Establish company’s strategic talent acquisition framework, including structure and implementation plans for the following:
  • Effective recruitment philosophy for attracting, screening and hiring top candidates for corporate headquarters and field locations
  • Partnership with hiring managers to understand their position needs and create effective position descriptions
  • Effective utilization of digital channels such as LinkedIn and Social Media, as well as other more traditional channels, to access potential candidates
  • Design and implement a streamlined recruiting process with effective and innovative internal/external channels, driving fast turnarounds from requirement to closure, achieving standardized recruiting metrics and cadences for differentiated levels of needs (executives; people/business managers; individual contributors)
  • Facilitate strategic talent planning efforts, defining and integrating organizational culture initiatives and role-based core competency and KPI requirements
  • Provide professional, proactive, exemplary and transparent talent assessment and consultancy to management and leadership at various levels, including morale and productivity improvement opportunities, time management best practices, core-competence benchmarks, code of ethics observations, behavior gaps, and development recommendations
  • Partner with management and leadership at all levels to influence employees towards achievement of organizational goals, acting as an employee champion and change agent to assist with coaching, performance review, performance planning, retention planning, succession planning, career development counseling, and disciplinary actions
  • Prepare updated talent assessment reports to support periodic corporate business reviews.
Human Resource Responsibilities
  • Leads the integration of core values into HR systems and Practices.
  • Experience in HR system implementation and integration of data
  • Leads the implementation and ongoing management of the organizations employee engagement survey and improvement processes.
  • Candidate is responsible for managing all internal human resource and compensation initiatives, including the following:
  • Communication with employees on a regular basis regarding updates or notifications regarding all aspects of employment (i.e., holidays, policy updates, new programs, etc.)
  • Maintenance of physical and virtual employee personnel files according to legal and company policies
  • Employee Status Change Forms and maintenance of employee compensation database
  • Coordination of benefits coverage and answer employee questions related to benefits
  • Coordination of employee departures, including departure paperwork and exit interviews
  • Maintenance of employee training documentation and histories in employee files
  • Compliance with and answer general inquiries with regard to company policies, procedures and programs which govern employees.
  • Knowledgeable on HR functions and employment legislation.
  • Implementation of human resources department projects (i.e., implementation of new tools, HR procedure manual, etc.).
Qualifications and Interest
  • Bachelor's degree required, with emphasis in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related area preferred
  • Preferably an HR generalist with 10+ years of combined working experiences in multiple HR disciplines such as talent acquisition, organizational diagnosis, performance management, talent and leadership development, employee relations, and/or HR business partnership
  • PHR/CP or SPHR/SCP certification preferred
  • Must be quick to possess a thorough understanding of both the operational and strategic side of the business, and be able to translate business strategy into people priorities and plans and deliver against challenging productivity improvement targets for different roles.
