Our client develops, owns, and operates communications wireless infrastructure facilities primarily for the wireless and broadcast industries. The company’s growth and created this new management requirement, reporting to the CFO and directing the activities of a multi-faceted staff.
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure outstanding quality and cost-effectiveness of all transactional accounting operations through technology, continuous improvement, best practices, and data-driven management.
Essential Duties: Sets and manages priorities and goals, and monitors and manages performance to goals. Oversees and supports managers in the development and management of an end-to-end, record to report process, including facilitating interfaces between various accounting systems, functional leadership teams, other accounting managers and directors, auditors, and executive leadership.
Fixed Assets: Capitalization of asset additions; Asset transfers between locations; Transfer of assets from under construction; Capitalization of interest; Sale, impaired or disposed assets
Payroll Accounting - Manages check requests for miscellaneous deductions; Analysis of executive and special compensation accruals
Revenue Accounting - Assures timely and accurate cycles; Cash receipts; Client Billing Services (soft collect/customer billing service)
DAS Accounting - Prepares all schedules and reports necessary to track and report on status each venue; Conducts reviews and analysis of monthly TCF for appropriateness and accuracy.
Maintains asset tracking conforming to REIT requirements
Lease Administration - Assures data is properly and accurately captured, and entered; Reviews and prepares monthly reports; Implements audit and correction plan for older leases.
Establishes and maintains accurate and up-to-date desk level procedures and ensures teams follow operational procedures that provide control and operational flexibility and appropriately protect the company’s assets.
Drives performance against key management metrics and continuously improves the end-to-end record to report processes.
Establishes and maintains key stakeholder relationships (internal and external) to pro-actively manage organization performance and resolve escalated and systemic issues.
Provides regular performance updates to executives, along with recommendations for management action, if appropriate.
Ensures all policies and processes align with applicable laws and are adhered to by all staff.
Oversees resource allocation; organizing people and work in the manner that best supports a high-quality customer service and low-cost mission.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
10+ years of experience managing a client-service oriented operational function with experience in management of large corporate initiatives/projects, strategic thinking, relationship management, financial budgets and processes and recruiting, developing, coaching and monitoring employees
Strong negotiating and leadership skills with the ability to lead from the front in meeting levels of performance.
Experience in leading process excellence and performance improvement,
Problem solving and root cause identification skills
Experience with managing leaders of others (supervisors)
Relevant experience from the commercial real estate industry is highly desirable.
