Business Unit Controller

$4B global industrial manufacturer; with excellent products, culture, and engineering-driven mentality across all business units (over 100 locations worldwide). We are currently partnering with a $150M division that specializes in AC/DC power supplies, electronic loads, power subsystems, and various customized power products. Industry application varies from commercial, test/measurement, semiconductor, government/defense, energy, to aerospace/aviation. Business is stable, growing, and great leadership team in place.
We seek a hands-on, strong finance leader to provide strategic finance expertise to the executive team, as well as tactical day-to-day finance improvements to the business. We are looking for a strong finance executive with strong general and cost accounting, financial planning and analysis skills, strong leadership and business acumen, and hands-on. Must be polished and able to present to corporate when necessary.
Plan and implement systems and processes to improve growth of business unit and company.
Establish working rapport with business partners across the company.
Coordinate with the Business Unit Manager/DVP to improve financial growth of business unit.
Prepare statistical analysis of plans and financial results, and management reports.
Completes financial analysis, Discounted Cash Flow, ROI, Make/Buy, Gross Margin and Pricing Proposals for new business opportunities and capital investments.
Supervise general accounting, cost accounting, AR/AP and government compliance.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance required, Master's Desired
7-15+ years of finance/accounting with at least 5+ years in manufacturing (required)
Strong experience in Cost Accounting is a must.
Must have strong experience in reporting and compliance.
Excellent communication and presentation skills. This role will interact with corporate and is this level position is often a fast-track position to be promoted into a higher position with 2-3 years.
Demonstrated ability to manage staff, set goals and objectives to meet Business Unit goals as well as the proven ability to select talent and develop subordinates.
