Logistics Administrative Clerk
Office location – Neville Island (Pittsburgh), PA
Our Client, a successful motor carrier and brokerage service company, is seeking an experience Logistics Administrative Clerk to provide support to their team at their Neville Island Corporate office. 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Performs administrative tasks to support the logistics group
  • Responsible for performing routine clerical duties such as answering phones, maintaining letters, memoranda, invoices, and other indexed records arranged in a file according to an established system
  • Retrieves data or correspondence from files as requested within an appropriate time frame
  • Enters new carriers
  • Enters loads into the system
  • Follows up with carriers on PODs
Job Requirements:
  • Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and at least 1 year of related experience
  • Knowledge of trucking terminology and understanding of freight bills, bills of lading and general truck shipping characteristics is required
  • General knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, Windows and email (McLeod TMS a plus)
  • Must have the ability to accurately data enter shipment and customer information
  • Strong communication and customer service skills are a must
  • Must be organized and efficient
  • Professional phone etiquette
  • Must possess multi-tasking abilities and be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • All other duties as assigned
Schedule, Compensation, & Benefits Overview:
  • Typical Schedule is Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • Salary based on experience
