In this critical role, you will be responsible for performing accounting functions and ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements set by existing and new federal regulations! In doing this, you will prepares various management reports for our client's Board of Directors plus oversee the following day to day accounting functions ...
Prepare monthly ledger entries, reconciliations, and miscellaneous monthly and quarterly reports for management
Ensure our client is kept abreast of regulatory reporting requirements
Prepare and maintain assigned corporate subsidiaries accounting, including monthly functions, reporting, budget, general ledger entries and account reconciliations
Prepare quarterly reports and correspondence to be sent to outside institutions, SEC and the Federal Reserve
Present recommendations to management, after evaluating different courses of action, on how procedures should change to make them more efficient or to comply with changing laws
Perform backup accounting functions for our client's other subsidiaries, as needed
Research and summarize new accounting pronouncements and prepare and submits a write-up summarizing key points
Responsible for the completion of all compliance training for this position
Requirements include ...
Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred (CPA a plus)
1+ years of accounting or auditing experience
Detailed knowledge of GAAP
Must understand all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and comply with the requirements
Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PC based accounting systems
Analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Team player with excellent communication skills
