Accountant Job Description Accountant Job Responsibilities:
Private real estate firm searching for Accountant to assist in financial statement preparation, cash management and other administrative tasks. Accountant will work directly for the SVP of Accounting and Reporting.
Accountant Key Job Duties:
? Financial statement preparation jobs duties include the following:
o Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for quarter end close and prepare
journal entries for reclassifications, expense accruals, depreciation/amortization, etc.
o Record all cash transactions
o Prepare quarterly reporting supporting package that includes reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, P&L analysis and other schedules
o Preparation of quarterly investor reports in PowerPoint; o Complete numerous investor requests;
o Assist in annual financial statement audit
? Cash management job duties includes the following:
o Prepare semi-monthly cash flow projection to determine borrowing/pay down requirements and coordinate
with banks for any required borrowings/pay down
o Prepare investor capital calls and distributions notices
o Maintain online wire templates and prepare wires for investor distributions, etc.
o Monitor cash and lending activity and work with bank contacts to resolve any discrepancies
o Interact with vendors to resolve billing issues, retain vendor documents and prepare 1099s
o Manage semi-monthly check run and maintain listing of accounts payable
o Manage loan draws and paydowns
o Responsible for opening, maintaining and closing bank accounts. Complete/file/maintain all cash management documentation. Prepares monthly bank and loan reconciliations.
? Other job duties include the following:
o Accommodates requests and answers inquiries, performs special projects and other duties as assigned o Maintains online file sharing system, internal electronic filling system and storage area
o Covers for administrative assistant when necessary
o Perform other tasks as required.

- BA/BS – Accounting oriented
- Preferred - minimum of five years of
experience (Real Estate experience plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Work, PowerPoint, Quickbooks and Yardi
