Position Purpose:  This position handles, prepares, computes, manages, researches and analyzes all accounting data to provide quantitative information on performance, financial position, liquidity and cash flow of the business. Develop procedures, organize accounting processes, pay invoices, deposit receipts, and run accounting reports.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Apply for and track state and federal income tax credits.

  • Manage general ledger and journal entries

  • Balance and reconcile bank accounts

  • Monitor and report inter-company activities

  • Conduct monthly closing activities from journal entry preparation based on GAAP

  • Track physical assets

  • Monitor accounts receivables and invoicing

  • Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.

  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.

  • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.

  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.

  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

  • Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience:     

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

  • Certified Public Accountant certification preferred but not required

  • Experience in fund/project accounting

  • Experience with State and Federal income tax creds for historical property renovations
