Accountable for the rate preparation and paperwork assembly of new business small groups' quotes and sales. Responsible for the processing of all new groups quote information and required paperwork for newly implemented groups. Participate in user acceptance training for the appropriate systems and the maintenance of sales related reporting. Build relationships with Sales/Account Management and the Brokerage Community to execute a business plan that optimizes opportunities. Essential Functions: Produce accurate quotes through strong decision making skills in compliance with Underwriting, authority guidelines, and state and federal laws for existing and/or prospective business. Meet established departmental turnaround guidelines while providing customer service to sold groups Maintain sales and retention reporting for directors of underwriting and marketing Participate in user acceptance training for the various systems Establish relationships with Sales and Account Management teams that optimize business potential with purchasers, brokers and consultants
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent 3 years of office experience Experience with Microsoft Office products Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to interact with the Marketing team and Brokers both in writing and verbally Good customer service skills required Preferred Qualifications: Associates Degree Experience with health insurance operations or a sales-broker environment preferred The understanding of rates and benefits and healthcare sales quoting preferred Knowledge of Kaiser Permanente's Benefit Tracking System (BETS) preferred
